PDA : École des Beaux Arts Part I
(I dedicate this blog to Catherine de Montreuil and Wyatt Parker.)
Here is some graffiti from around the school. It is mostly tagging- anything more elaborate usually gets tagged over pretty quickly. I could be wrong, but from what I can gather “capping” someone’s tag is not a big diss at Beaux Arts; the wall space is constantly being recycled.
And my personal...

Happiness at Le Bar du Marché
I want to talk happiness for a moment; I think happiness is found in neutrality. Feeling low is obviously an absence of happiness, but excitement doesn’t seem compatible with happiness either. Trading a couch for a closet
I found a home in Paris, a studio the size of my childhood closet in the 16th. It is the renovated room of a 17th century servant, aka a little hole in the wall at the top of a very old building. Seventh floor. No elevator. The staircase, along with the turkish toilet I will have to endure down the hall, means that by July I will be a walking Wonder Woman.
Pictures will be added soon!

In Canada, we call them strikes. Whereas les grèves are considered jokes back home, apparently they actually work in France. Having said that, I do not understand how; those on strike do not actually protest with signs or...

Meet my new friend, Coco…
We spent the day searching for universal adapters and exploring the forbidden areas of l’École des Beaux Arts. She also helped me register at a rental agency and buy a transit pass. Coco can be a bit saucy at times, but I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

Hymns and Tales of Heartbreak
September 9th, I saw the Fletcher Family and Daniel, Fred and Julie perform at the Benvoulin Church, the most aesthetically and acoustically beautiful venue in Kelowna. The following photos were taken by the talented Aidan Whitely.
The Fletcher Family (Crystal, Jon-Rae and his mom) opened with hymns.
They were followed by the trio Daniel, Fred and Julie (Daniel Romano, Fred Squire and Julie...
